I have no idea what’s the movie about. It was out a couple of days ago out here.

Last days i was driving and i noticed a commercial glued in the back of a bus.
To be honest, the thing i had first seen after the title was : … “Sandra Bullock” haha
And in second the picture itself !

“Coup de coeur” for the picture !
(hmmmm “coup de coeur” could be translated by … … “to have a crush for” / “to fall for smthg/one” / … you know, something you love/like a lot at first sight )

It is been a long time since i haven’t got any “coup de coeur” for those movie posters.
The last was “Memoirs of a Geisha” !

And for the DVD and BR releases, Sony Pictures thought it was better to have a new visual. A “brilliant” and brand new “creative” visual !

I have seen Darwin’s Nightmare a couple of weeks ago and i don’t know why i couldn’t stop thinking about the movie.
Probably something i missed or i didn’t really paid attention on while watching it.

Now, I know why.

As you might know, i was shocked to see how those villagers live ! Who won’t after watching such pictures ?

But look at these screens and made your own opinion.

You might have noticed it but lately there is not much asian movies out here.
After feeding myself with korean and japanese movies mostly for about 2 years, i haven’t even watched one those past months.
Overdose i assume !

It might be the same towards japanese dramas.
(thanks to Hana Yori Dango season 2 ; the second part is so stupid i couldn’t go further in the drama ! The first serie was good though)
Too much dramas/asian movies kill dramas/asian movies :p

Back to The Pursuit of Happyness by Gabriele Muccino.
Starring Will Smith and his IRL son.

Based on a true story, the movie is about a part of Christopher Gardner’s life.
For his and his family’s daily life expenses, Chris goes from hospital to hospital trying to sell a portable scanner machine or so.
Like he said, the quality was a bit better than a traditional machine but Chris’ machine was twice more expensive.
To cover his month expenses, Chris needs to sell both of them at least.
Unfortunately, it is been months and months he didn’t sold any.

They all look like happy !

A day, while wandering in the street a business man parks his red sport convertible in front of Chris.
He exchanges a couple of words with the owner and that is how begin “his new life”.

He’s got enrolled in a trading training for 4 months.

The movie is mostly about those 4 months in which he is gonna experience multiple bad but enriching adventures with his son.

Dignity, faith, self confidence and walk straigh.

The best part of the movie ?
I like the most is when … Chris’ wife left !
She left 4 months too early hahaha

By the way, i have to admit that i never heard about Christ Gardner before ; i need to get his book !
And it seems like he spent a year in the street and not 4 months the time of the trainning program.

A Canadian movie. From Quebec to be more accurate. You know that part of Canada where people speak french weirdly :p

What is the movie about ?

Close your eyes and imagine.
You are a respectable :p father. Late in the night, once your wife went to bed, you “secretly” surf over the internet. Porno websites with teenagers.
As far as it is kids of the others, it doesn’t matter. But a night, after clicking and clicking, a new window appears with your beloved daughter in it.

What will be your reaction ? What will you do ? And how far will you go ?

It is the purpose of the movie.

What a movie ! What a (fucking) World !

Darwin’s Nightmare is a movie/documentary by Hubert Sauper.

I found 2 visuals on the Internet.

So which one do you think fits more the movie than the other ? After watching the movie, the second one is 1000 time stronger than the first ! But the first was the official poster.

What is the movie about ?

The story takes place in a city of Victoria Lake shore, Tanzania side.
At first, it seems like the documentary talks about Nil perch (or the “destroyers” of the 200 others species of the lake), fishermen and the life around the fish.
The why of the second visual.
Fishermen catch fishes and fishes fly with cargos to Europe (but notice that only fish heads are out, in the ground, of the flying cargos !)

I couldn’t not mention it.

Sunday, a quite famous french actor passed away. The one i always mix up with a famous designer.
I can’t forget the time i was in LA, at a friend’s place, she was looking a movie with her cousin and “he” (the one i always mix up not the cousin :p ) was in it.
And she asked me : “is it Paco Rabanne ?”
I looked at him into the tv and i hesitated.
My answer ?
I said : “yeah it is him, it is Paco” !
That night, while i drove back to my aunt’s place, i felt sooooo stupid   hahaha
What a shame ^_^

R.I.P Michel Serrault !

The weird thing about this week is the “never 2 without 3″ !

Sunday night, we had a break news to get inform about Serrault’s death and on monday night, 1 more name. And another on tuesday.

R.I.P Ingmar Bergman and Michelangelo Antonioni !

Not a movie but an austrian documentary made somehow in 2005.

Sorry, kind of lazy to write the synopsis with my words ^_^

As the synopsis said, you are gonna “enjoy” and see how our daily food are made.
Cows, pigs, apple, eggs, … … our daily bread !

We all know where our daily food come from ; but do you exactly know what technics are used to collect tomatoes, eggs, milk and how animals are killed before to end up in your plate / stomach ?

It is an 1 hour 30 doc.
The power of this documentary is the fact that the director only used steady shots without any comments ; only environment sounds ! (Some might think it is gonna be boring to watch ; you are not totally wrong )

So after watching Our Daily Bread, if you are a carnivore, next time you are gonna eat/enjoy your T-bone, you are gonna think twice.
If you are a vegetarian, you will keep being a vegetarian forever ^_^

About myself ? Give a look to the previous billet ; one of my favorite dish is : Raw meat ! Yummy !

Just a last word.

It is amazing to see how the hardest tasks have been automated !

It is been a long time but here is korean movie by Kim Ki-Duk (The Bow, …).

(I’m still not familiar with korean name :p so i’ll named both main characters by “He” and “She” ; how original :p )

He, let’s say, is about 20/25 years old and during his day, on his bike, he goes door to door and sticks on each an add.
Later in the day at sunset, if the add is away, it means that the owner of the house/appartment is home. If the add is still there, the owner might be away at least for the day/night. In such case, He welcomes himself in.

She is married to a man. Unfortunately, She is also her husband’s punchball.
That day, He gets irruption in She’s house and thought that the place was empty. She was here but He didn’t noticed her at all till the night. She spied He all day long and catched him in the most “inappropriate time” ! hahaha (watch by yourself ^_^ ).
At first He ran away but came back ….. the beginning of He and She’s relationship.

For many reasons.

Summer and i’m still vacationing in Vietnam where i recently finished to watch …… Naruto ! lol
(yeah it sounds silly but it is during breakfast or lunch time ^_^ )
Over 186 episodes. Mostly, no, all from the first second until the last second.
Yep i haven’t read the manga so i had to watch all the numerous flashbacks and co !
I’m on since …. Easter !!! lol
While watching the anime, i was thinking about people waiting each week the unique episode lol
Especially from the episode 140 or so !!.
