(screen captured here)

TV Asashi will air somehow in spring 2007 a live of Maison Ikkoku !!
It seems like Itoh is in !

Actually it does exist a live version from the 90′ and that was my first “j-drama”. Honestly, the elder version sucked ! :p

J-Drama No Comments »

Long time no drama was in here :p

The first serie here more than a year ago. Here is the second season.
Currently i have only seen 1 of 10 and as expected, Gokusen 2 is a remake of Gokusen the first.

Yankumi might be the fourth generation of a famous yakuza family. Unfortunately (?) she didn’t decided so and became a teacher.
She is not those regulars teachers who do not care about their students. She personnaly involves herself to guide and lead her “punk” almunies !

And of course, none of her students or colleagues know and have to know where she is from except the principal ; the same as in the first serie : the “monkey face man with a banana as a hair cut” ^_^
Actually Yankumi was enrolled by mistake ; the principal expected a tough guy capable to control the 3-D class. What a surprise for him when Yankumi poped in front of him :p

Once more, with her angel and naive face, she is gonna face the worse bad guys ever : her students. Most are “loosers” and “trashes”.

Again, Yankumi is here to “protect” her “punk” students and make sure that all the 3-D will be graduated.

Good luck to her.

Another japanese drama.

After the disappointing Ace wo Nerae despite of staring Aya Ueto, I took a break from jdrama ^_^

Shinichi Kamosawa was a famous french cuisine chef over in Japan. He ran a successfull french cuisine restaurant in Tokyo before to give up because of being a very stressful business.
He left Tokyo and opened a restaurant in the country side serving organic food : Légume d’Ange (Angel’s vegetable ; what a silly name lol )
Unfortunately (but kind of expected), he ran bankrupt a year after the opening.

S.Kamosawa passed away and left behind 2 daughters and a window.

Seri (the elder) and Nazuna are sibblings but from different mothers.
Seri has been abandonned to her father by her mother when she was 7 years old.
She grew up with her father and step mother and her younger sister.

After her father passed away, Seri’s step mother runs an old people’s home.
Seri’s occupation is to cook for the residents. While her father was still alive, she learnt from him a lot by listening and watching him.
At the retiring pension, anyone enjoyed Seri’s dishes.
Seri’s particularity is that she listened to the people she cooked for.

According to her father, “a delicious taste is not enough, you have to make the person feel happy ; make dishes that can move people’s heart !”
Seri never lost from her mind those wordS.

Meanwhile it is kind of a chaos for the ex-owners of a famous french cuisine restaurant in Tokyo.
Tachibana brothers ran and lost their upp class restaurant l’Etoile (the Star) in Tokyo.
Kenzo, the elder and also the chef, fled and left behind debts to the younger, Kensaku.
No long after, Kensaku left l’Etoile too ; he was tired to ……. make up the toilet :D

Kenzo Tachibana appears to be Seri and Nazuna ’s uncle (i assume “uncle” as he had been a close friend of S.Kamosawa).
The old man went to the Kamosawa’s place and beg Seri to go to Tokyo to save l’Etoile.

Of course she accepted (lol) otherwise the drama might stopped here :p

AS being …. the younger, Nazuna will go to Tokyo too to ….. protect her elder sister lol
In spite of being the elder, Seri is a bit too naive and timid (it reminds me someone :p )
As far as Seri is talented as being a Chef, she is a dummy in “the real world” lol ; she even looses her way if she is all by herself ; a 10 years old kid will help her to find out her way hahaha

Therefore Nazuna decided by herselft to go with Seri to prevent her Tokyo’s nuisances ^_^

Both sisters led to Tokyo. Once they reached l’Etoile they finally discovered that Kensaku left too and l’Etoile was definitely lost.

They finally met Kensaku at his place. At first he kicked those (kawaii :p ) 2 sisters away but disturbing Nazuna insisted to stay at his place at least over the night.

and blablablablablabla :p

As expected, Seri cooked a fabulous dinner ; she put Kensaku “in her pockets” ^_^
The day after, he poped the question hahaha ; in fact not really :p
He simply asked Seri to join him in his new project : Petit Etoile (Little Star) (how funny ; 2 words / 1 mistake :D )

Since then, Seri, Nazuna and Kensazu will be part of a fabulous adventure : running their own tiny restaurant. Seri as being a chef while she expected to be a sous chef for a first job and Kensazu as being a manager. Accessorily, Aya Ueto (Nazuna) will be the waitress :p

Another Japanese drama staring Aya Ueto @_@ based on the eponyme manga.

The story in 2 words.

Oka is a fresh tennis player. She never touch a racket before but she admires Ryuuzaki a member of the tennis club.

She has been chosen to be one of the 5 titulars of the team by the new coach who sees in Oka a huge potential even if she is a fresh player. He is gonna lead her to be a world player (<< A famous japanese female player in the WTA tour ?? let me doubt :p )

As being a beginner, her senior team mates were not agreed with the coach’s choice.

As expected in a such “manga/sport story”, she is gonna practice harder and harder more than anyone else, fight with her team mates and against herself to gain confidence, improve her tennis (not hard since she is beginner :) ), ……

How is the drama ?

Another J-drama based on 10 episodes.

Toji was recently graduated from university. He works as a manager in a food store department in a mall.
Nao works as an “escalator girl” in the same mall.
Toji and Nao are dating each other.

It won’t be a japanese drama if both had a perfect love story :D

Saeki works in a marketing company.
She will be sent by her employee to work in Toji’s department store to merchandize new products as well as to increase sales.

As expected, Saeki will be the third in the triangle relationship.

In fact, Saeki is Toji’s ex. They dated each other for 6 months while they were in university.
Saeki was (and is) a really ambitious person and prefered her career instead of her relationship with Toji.

Saeki’s first day in the department store is also Toji and Saeki’s first meeting since she dumped him 2 years ago.

What is the drama about ?

What is Nao’s place in the triangle since Saeki and Toji will have to work on projects together ?
That is the deal for the 3 of them ^_^

Another japanese drama ^_^
11 episodes long from 1997.

In few words, the drama is about how 2 souls found each others lol
Kazumi is back to Japan after spending a year in NYC to study jewelry.
She is pregnant and wanted to tell her “not too young” (lol) boyfriend. Unfortunately, he finally revealed to her that he is married for years and has a 8 years old kid. He will never know lol
Back to Japan, at Narita airport, she lost her contact lens and she is gonna meet for the second time the one who saved her “future” a year ago (keep reading to know more lol)
Because of being pregnant and cannot return home all alone, she decided to ask her savior (Kaoru) to be … her boyfriend lol

Another japanese drama ! (11 episodes based on a manga named the same)

What a good surprise though ! I tried several times to watch the first episode but once more, i couldn’t go thru the first 15 minutes.
Reason ? The guy acting in H2 is the same guy than in Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebuu : Yamada Takayuki !! lol
In spite of he was good in Sekai, (…) the drama itself was so depressing but was soooooooo great !!

In H2, he is Hiro, a famous high school pitcher in the baseball team. Unfortunately, he had to give up baseball because of a “porcelain-elbow”.
A doctor told him if he keeps going on pitching, he might looses his arm within 3 months.

Then for no reason, I was pretty sure that during the entire drama, because of his love for baseball, he is gonna take some risks to play baseball. Therefore i was “scare” for a “play / not play / play / not play / ….” story !!

I was so wrong :D I finally love the first episode !! hahaha

(Densha = train ; Otoko = man >>> aka the Train Man lol)

After watching Sekai no Chuushin, … which was a sooooooo touching (and depressing lol) drama I looked forward for something different.
With my cousin’s recommandation I start watching Densha Otoko. Perfecto, it is a comedy !
Plus Itoh Misaki is in :p
She was the crazy girl in You’re Under Arrest, the attractive teacher in Gokusen. She also owns a grocery in Lunch Queen (staring Takeuchi Yuko ! @_@ )

Basically the story is about an otaku meeting a beautiful lady.
In some other words, it could be a contemporary “The Beauty and the Beast” story.

J-Drama No Comments »

(picture from jkdramas.com)

I did a billet previously about the drama.

So here is my personals impressions about Crying out Love, in the Center of the World after watching the entire drama.

Sorry to be so informal but ….. WHAT A F-U-C-K-I-N’ DRAMA !!!!

A must be seen drama if you do not scare ……… to be depressed for days long lol

Have you ever had any feelings toward a characters wether in a movie, novel or … you know in any fictions ?
I’m pretty sure it already happened to you ;)
Just feel like you personnaly know that person, personnaly feel what the character feels itself.
The character is happy and so you are ; the character is sad and so you are. And sometimes even fall in love with the character :D despite of saying to yourself :
“ok that is ONLY a movie, a novel, a fiction, …. nothing is real”.
And when the story comes to its end, you cannot stop thinking about to the story.

“Welcome (back) to the Real world” :p

Sekai (…) plays with your feelings ! You know the end of the story but still have hopes. Joy, laugh and the second after pain, tears. Even joy in pain ! GRRRRR
That was so frustrating !

In Summer Snow, Yuki was sick but the end was really unexpected ; during the all long drama, you know that she is sick and Yuki might dies but still hope for an alternative end. The alternative end comes but it was not the one you expected. That is what i called “happy sad end” :)

In Beautiful Life, the end was quite depressing too but it was expected. you’ve got prepared from the first episode lol
The drama is called Beautiful life but ………… how a sad end :\ lol
And contrary to Sekai no chuushin, ….. (bless me :p ) the time used was the present. There was a continuity during the entire drama. And what was supposed to happen finally arrives.

But in Sekai no Chuushin, ….. grrrrr (again).
From the first minutes, we defenitely know that Aki passed away nevertheless during those 11 long episodes, we still hope that a miracle will occur lol.
Of course, the miracle won’t and will never happened ; 17 years after Aki’s death, Saku still lives in the past when both were together.
Maybe Aki had to stop by Lourdes :p (<<< heard about the Holy Water from Lourdes ? Go there with your cane or wheel-chair and when you will leave Lourdes, you will also leave your cane and wheel-chair behind you :p If i have a couple of minutes someday i’ll scan my pictures from Lourdes ^_^ )

The story was really good and was soooooo painful ; it was quite impossible to watch straight all the episode ; need a break between each. I’m such an emotive person :D lol hahahaha

Just think about someone either you deeply love or just care about and suddenly she/he could pass away O_o

Defenitely a drama to watch if you do not scare to be depressed for days long ;)

I’m looking forward to get the movie with Shibasaki Kou playing in it. Unfortunately she is not Aki but Saku’s girlfriend from he present.

Some screens from the 5 first episodes.

no need to translate (at least the job was already done by SARS, a fansub team)

\nSaku\’s reaction right after

The walkman, it could be one of the character of the drama as well as Saku’s aches !

Saku recording a tape

lol it seems to be a japanese tradition ; fight for a sandwich at lunch ; …

just looks like in any manga or anime ^_^

Saku giving a ride to his princess :)

Aki will be Juliet in a play ; Who is gonna be Romeo ?

Both scattered Saku grandfather’s ache. There were many signs like these before Aki knows about her health.

A journey in a “home town” island

a “time mail box”

I was not focused on Aki’s legs lol but on the ….. water-melon balloon :D
What is wrong with japanese and taiwanese with water-melon ? hehehehehe

Enjoy

happiness

(lol)

lol ; too much photoshop in this screen :D It was supposed to be all dark and those fireflies looked more real and not as fake as in this screen ^_^

Saku back to the island 17 years after

“I’m looking for someone from the future” :p (dixit the girl in My Sassy Girl)

Just imagine a second.
You lost one you really care about 17 years ago ; she left in the “time box” a tape. You come back 17 years later and the tape is still there.
Insert the tape in your tape player and press play.
… … … … … …
Her voice 17 years earlier saying “hi (you) from the future …….”
Brrrrrrrrrr

A scene we will never be able to see in any french serie : steal one’s aches from one’s grave.

(screen captures with a SARS released - a fansub team)

(or Crying out, in the Center of the World in english)
And yep, another J-drama :p

(picture from jkdramas.com)

I have just watched the first episode and it seems to be a quite interesting drama !
How a sad story ! However i’m pretty sure it will be a “sad happy” story but the first episode is sooooooooooooooooo painful :/

The opening scene is :
Saku, a high school student, holds in his hand “her” bones !
“She”, Aki, Saku’s classmate whom will be his soulmate were dating and Aki suddenly passed away.
Reason ? We have no idea yet ; deadly sick ? accident ? Need to watch further more.

After that opening scene, back to nowaday.
Saku is now 34 years old and still holds Aki’s ashes ! She is part of himself ; he holds her whenever and anywhere he goes.
He is now a doctor but still lives in the past.
Half live, half dead, he cannot stop thinking about what happened 17 years ago when Aki died and the short time they spent together.

It begins by the end ; we know that Aki is dead. During the all long first episode, it will be about Aki and Saku’s first meeting and first date.
And i guess into the 9 others episodes, we are gonna discover more about both Saku and Aki’s lives 17 years earlier.
