Hopefully, not all but a big part of the people … unfortunately.

What am i talking about ?

Since may, we have a new president. And it is name is Nicolas Sarkozy.
That is a short reminder ; if you ask me the name of the japanese first minister, i won’t be able to give you a damn name ; otherwise i’ll try with saying … “let”s say … Kawasaki ?” (because it sounds to be japanese :p )

So what is the french mentality ?

Our new president has “rich” friends whom invited him and his family in the US ; Wolfeboro, New Hampsire to be more accurate.

Anyone derserves vacations ; agreed ? And who care where you are going ; and anyone deserves privacy.

But in french papers and especially in the opposite party, it was :
“Sarkozy in vacation in the US in a 30.000 usd a week villa”

It is like in the US, we do not ask to one what is his religion or if one votes for democrate or republican ; in France, you kinda feel “guilty” because of making notmoney but BIG money !

By the way, it is the place to be for vacation because of the rate us$ vs Euro !

Maybe with his meeting with Bush on sat, perhaps Sarkozy will try to introduce … Renault into the US market :D (ironic)

There is an anecdote that i like pretty much.

It is well known that France is a country where you can have much helps from the government if you are living by your own and make “not much money ot no money at all” ; have kids and make “not much money or no mney at all” ; …

One of those helps is : ZERO cent as income tax.

It is kind of logic.

You make little money and the government helps you. So why do you have to pay your income tax back to the government ?

In France, to those who makes little money = ZERO cent as income tax.
But France’s neighbours do not have such rule. As far as you get some income (as little as it is), you have to pay some income tax ; of course, more your income is big, more tax you will pay. And vice versa. At least our neighbours pay something !

It is not generality but it does exist, the “poors” of our neighbours come in France and got their “tax address” in France ; therefore they will pay ZERO cent and got sereval kinds of helps from the french government.

Meanwhile, because of high tax rates, rich people those with huge money leave the country because “it is all in the pocket” once you cross the border !

And since june, with the new rail raod to East, Paris to Luxembourg City is about 2 hours ! (instead of 4h15)

Make your own conclusion   ^_^
