After 666, we are gonna have a 777 tomorrow. And 888 in a year and 999 the year after. Woaaaaa ^_^
The weird thing ? By writing this post, i have just realized that Kelem, my doggy bear, died on 333. How couldn’t i noticed it earlier ? :??:

So here is your first vietnamese lesson : how to say week days.

In most languages, each day refers to either a planet or a Divinity/God ; it is well known that sunday is Lord/God’s day.
But in vietnamese, no planet, no God at all ; sunday is said : Master’s day :D

What about the rest of the week ?

Monday is said : Thứ hai ; once translated, it means : the second.
Ok, you might ask me : “Monday is the first but how come does it call the second ?”

(Do i bother you with question ? ) :p

To be honest, my vietnamese knowledge is not high enough to really explain why. But all I know is, in vietnamese, we do not use the suffix “first” to name the first. Haha how confusing ugh ? :p

For instance, to make it easier ; the elder in a family is not called “the first” but “the second”. Therefore the second is called the third. Ecetera ….. hehe
Another example. In vietnamese, to name someone, you do not necessary have to call one by his/her given name. And depending on his/her rank in the family ladder, you can call your uncle/aunt by : uncle 2 ; uncle 5 ; aunt 4 ; …… )
According to this rule, Napoleon Bonaparte should never be named Napolen 1st :p

Back to our Lesson :p

Monday = Thứ hai (the second)
Tuesday = Thứ ba (the third)
Wednesday = Thứ tư (the fourth)
Thursday = Thứ năm (the fith)
Friday = Thứ sáu (the sixth)
Saturday = Thứ bảy (the seventh) (and you might got the point of this billet now ;) )
Sunday = Chủ nhật ; it could have been the eighth but nope. It is the Master’s day like said above (still wondering where it comes from)

So most countries will have a 777 day while vietnamese people will have a 7777 day !

Just curious to know if pregnancy women with a month “to go” will force to give birth in 7777 in the Golden Pig year !

PS : come again for the pronounciation :p
