What had to happen finally happened.
I was still surprised to still had access to my 49er express account (email and much more) since i quited in 2004 ^_^

UNCC changed his system and password had been reset. As expected, my UNCC ID needed to a first sign in didn’t work

I assume i’m gonna badly loose my emails and contacts’ adress in there :conf:

Picture taken somehow in july 2002 in Can Gio, Vietnam ; the sea bay is about 2 ferries (or one :??: ) and 50 km from Saigon. A nice short “road trip” on a honda’s back !

Probably an album incoming soon.

In 2002, it was still a good place to get an “all you can eat” sea food buffet :p
Huge shrimps, huge oysters, various sea shells, crabs, ghe (a crab variety), ….. right on the beach !
Dunno if it is still a good place to be since the area had been re-built.

This post is more a memo to myself ; i lost a weekend to import my billets from Dotclear to WordPress while the entire process might takes 10 minutes ^_^

My config :

• Dotclear 2 Beta 3 (old) (therefore i dunno if it works with a previous version)
• WordPress 2.0.5 (new)

In Dotclear :

• In the admin tool, export your database ; you might obtain a default-backup.txt file.
• Open the file with Wordpad and check that the file starts by ///DOTCLEAR …..
  If not, delete all characters before ///DOTCLEAR. Then save it.

It is done with Dotclear.

In WordPress :

Once WordPress is installed properly, DO NOT DELETE anything ; keep WordPress brand new (do not ask me how ; i followed a tuto ^_^ ).

• save flatimport.txt into your local hdd.
• rename flatimport.txt to flatimport.php then save it in wp-admin/import directory thru a FTP soft (such as CuteFTP, …)
• take the default-backup.txt file and rename it to blog-backup.txt and save it into /wp-content/uploads directory.
• in WordPress admin tool, click Import tab >> select Dotclear flat import >> click Import and Wait till the job is done.

You have done it !
