Like each year, i have to get a ticket while riding in Vietnam. Unexpected anytime but it has to occcur at least once ! lol
The day was yesterday while i was back home after getting some ….. sandwiches in the middle of the night. lol

My faultS : i forgot to turn on my headlights (the reason why the police officer stopped me) + I forgot my papers as well as the vehicle papers (lol) + i have no vietnamese license driver (haha).

He wanted to confiscate my bike for 10 days lol + giving like a 400.000vnd (20euros / 27usd) ticket. In the US or in Europe (at least W.Europe), while being in fault, you have not much to say.
If your vehicle has to be towe, it will be towed whatever you said.

But you have to keep in mind that Vietnam is not Europe (at least W.Europe) and the US.
They are gonna take you bike for 10 days …… ok …… you are in fault so you have not much to say (again).
But after 10 days, you are not sure to get back your bike as well as you left it !!
In some others words, your brand new bike “made in Japan” can be turned to be an old bike “made in China” !

Of course it doesn’t always happened but they are a bunch of such stories !

What to do in such case ?

I know it is bad to say but don’t hesitate to take out some …………. cash hahaha.

How much ?

That night i enjoyed a 60.000 vnd (3euros/4usd) sandwich. I got 3 of them ; so …………. lol
While a sandwich barely cost more than 10.000vnd ; i paid mine 6.000vnd to be accurate hahaha
