Another Korean movie.
Just keep in mind that Korean movie in my blog are south korean movies. Actually i have no idea if there is a way to watch any of north korean movies :/

A movie by Park Gwang-Hyeon with JEONG Jae-young, SHIN Ha-Gyun, KANG Hye-Jeong, IM Ha-Ryong (bless me lol ; as you might know, i’m not familiar with korean name yet :/ and thanks my best friend for all those name :p )

The story took place in a small village up to the mountain at the beginning of the korean war. The village is call : Dongmakgol. (what a surprise :p )

4 main characters :

  • An us air force pilot rescued by the villagers after his fighters crashed.
  • 2 deserters from the south korean army.
  • 3 survivors of an north korean unit.
  • the villagers.
  • oops a little bit and i forgot the 5th ; but i’ll let you discover by yourself ;)

So you can guess what the story is about.
The villagers started to rescued the american guy. Then arrived in the village 2 deserters from the south korean army followed by those 3 from the north korean soldiers.
At first, with the 3 first visitors, there was no trouble at all until those 3 last came.
Just let you image how north and south are when they are faced up !

Like said above, the village is up deep in the mountain. It is a “peace and love” atmosphere out there. They probably ignored about the war between north and south and they might even ignored about the country cut in 2 ! Therefore they do no understand the violence from their new guests.
