Another japanese drama ! (11 episodes based on a manga named the same)

What a good surprise though ! I tried several times to watch the first episode but once more, i couldn’t go thru the first 15 minutes.
Reason ? The guy acting in H2 is the same guy than in Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebuu : Yamada Takayuki !! lol
In spite of he was good in Sekai, (…) the drama itself was so depressing but was soooooooo great !!

In H2, he is Hiro, a famous high school pitcher in the baseball team. Unfortunately, he had to give up baseball because of a “porcelain-elbow”.
A doctor told him if he keeps going on pitching, he might looses his arm within 3 months.

Then for no reason, I was pretty sure that during the entire drama, because of his love for baseball, he is gonna take some risks to play baseball. Therefore i was “scare” for a “play / not play / play / not play / ….” story !!

I was so wrong I finally love the first episode !! hahaha

The drama is about baseball and friendship/romance.

Let’s say …. Do you know the american serie Dawson’s Creek ? I was a Dawson’s Creek addict :p At least when the band was in high school. Their college times suck which means 2 seasons on 5 !
What was great in the serie was Joey and Dawson’s relationship. Childhood relationship !! In some others words to not say that Katie Holmes kept me watching the show hahahaha
Out of Katie Holmes, i like a lot the music in the serie.
Sarah Mclachlan, Chantal Kreviazuk, Natalie Merchant, Sixpence none the richer, Heather Nova, …… and many more. All discovered because of Dawson’s Creek :p

Dawson likes Joey ; Joey likes Dawson. But Joey goes out with Dawson’s best friend, Pacey.
Joey and Dawson are like twins. They perfectly know each others. A look means a lot more than words. Sometimes it kills Pacey as well as Joey and Pacey together kills Dawson.

As well as Dawson’s Creek, H2 is also a story about chilhood relationship. It is kinda cliché but in a band of 3 there is 1 girl and 2 guys. One of them is tall and handsome and the second is smaller and “regular” lol
As usual in those kind of stories, the girl likes the handsome guy but is the best friend with the smaller.
Hiro, the smaller guy, knows Hikari (the girl) since always ; they grew up together. Both family are really close.
Hiro knows Hikari really well as much as she knows about Hiro.
Later in middle school, Hiro introduce his best friend, Hideo, to Hikari. Since that day, blablabla I do not need to explain ugh ?

Later again because of Hiro’s porcelain-elbow, he couldn’t attemp the same high school as his best friend Hideo.
He is gonna meet Haruka whom is the manager of the un-official baseball club. She is gonna fall in love with him while Hiro still likes Hikari. As if “1 girl 2 guys” was not enought complicated, there is 1 girl more

About Baseball in H2.

Since Hiro’s elbow-failure, he is not in the same team than Hideo anymore.
He couldn’t attempt the same high school.
While Hiro joins the “baseball enjoyment club” (un-official club), Hideo joins the top High School Baseball Team.

Before Hiro’s troubles, both had played together since they started baseball. Hiro was the famous pitcher and Hideo was a top rank batter. Both together were unbeatable.

Both on their own way, both have a dream.

oops, I forgot to mention that the entire drama is a flashback. Those screens are from the first minutes which represent the present time.

Oops i also forgot to refer to that guy. Actually it was a trio pitcher / batter and receiver. So he was.
As Hiro’s “porcelain-elbow”, doctor told the third guy he had “malformation-pelvis” lol.
