:Phan Thiet / Mui Ne, Vietnam:

Journey No Comments »

A trip to Vietnam again.

It is quite cold here and as usual during winter time out here in Paris, everything is grey and look sad ! As if time has stopped ; I wish it could be true and not just a feeling ^_^ !
Therefore i miss blue sky, sun on my skin, … thru this billet, I’ll give you a ride to a beach and …. desert :p

Byebye snow the time of a short billet ^_^

First, i realized that my blog turned to be more personal than I thought ; at first I wanted something anonymous but … :D
Therefore, from now on, my albums won’t be as “poscards” anymore but I will also include personal pictures of myself in those albums :)
So expect to see your guide more often and often ;)

Okay, now it is said, let’s visit Phan Thiet / Mui Ne together ^_^
Phan Thiet is about 200kms from Saigon in the north on the coast. It is a beach area.

J-Drama No Comments »

Another japanese drama ! (11 episodes based on a manga named the same)

What a good surprise though ! I tried several times to watch the first episode but once more, i couldn’t go thru the first 15 minutes.
Reason ? The guy acting in H2 is the same guy than in Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebuu : Yamada Takayuki !! lol
In spite of he was good in Sekai, (…) the drama itself was so depressing but was soooooooo great !!

In H2, he is Hiro, a famous high school pitcher in the baseball team. Unfortunately, he had to give up baseball because of a “porcelain-elbow”.
A doctor told him if he keeps going on pitching, he might looses his arm within 3 months.

Then for no reason, I was pretty sure that during the entire drama, because of his love for baseball, he is gonna take some risks to play baseball. Therefore i was “scare” for a “play / not play / play / not play / ….” story !!

I was so wrong :D I finally love the first episode !! hahaha

Azumi Azumi ^_^

Azumi’s mother died under her sight, in her arms while she still was a kid.
That day, an old man crossed her path. He is gonna take care of her as well as 9 others kids.
He is gonna train them to be killers for the good sake. In others words, kill people responsible for wars.

The movie is based on …. Azumi (how surprising ^_^) ; a manga from Yu Koyama.
The main difference between the movie and the manga ? In the manga, 1 hit = 1 kill :D

To make things clear, do not watch Azumi for the story or any historicals events ; do not watch Azumi for the crew acting.
None of them can run for any Academy Awards :p

But I really enjoyed the movie because of … Aya Ueto :D

:How does your ennemy look like … IRL ?:

Games No Comments »

Have you ever played any online game such as any MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) ?

If you did, I’m pretty sure you would have looked for how your ennemies look like IRL (in real life), didn’t you ?

I played Dark Age of Camelot for 2 years and half and as curious as I am :p I have been wondered how they look like IRL lol
As far as i know, you can only find pictures on third parties forums, … but nothing on the editor website itself.

Vo Lam is a vietnamese MMORPG ; don’t ask me about the game, i have no clue plus their website is only in vietnamese lol Seeking for any trailer on their website, I found …. players’ presentation lol

“My name is Christ, i’m 17 (:D) and i’m in grade 11 ; i’m a Vo Lam player and my nick in game is NhocKiller” :D

Basically it could be a template of their presentation.

what is the purpose of this billet ? :D

Here is a player’s presentation

>>> atomickitten or how to be cheated :D<<<

>>> ooLiu_Yi_Feioo ick ick nothern accent !<<<

>>> ma_nu_cuong_sat <<<

More here.

Lol it could be a new “Meetic” or VietSingle (your choice) :D

Weirdly, there is only girls playing that game lol

EDIT 14 Dec 2005 : Finally, I found out that those players’ presentations are to vote “Miss Vo Lam” :D
The profile itself was stupid but funny ; but a profile to run to be “Miss Vo Lam” is ……… stupidiest :D

:Cu Chi Area, Vietnam:

Journey No Comments »

Long time i haven’t bring any pictures on my blog excepting those delicious turtles meat :p
How did you like it ? ^_^

Hmmmm today, I’ll give you a ride to Cu Chi.

Cu Chi is an area about 30km in the north from Saigon downtown.

What to see in Cu Chi ?

That is a good question :p
Excepting those famous tunnels from the conflict, i have no idea :)
Those tunnels are amazing. Visit those and you will understand what “live beneath earth” is !

Google “Cuchi tunnels” to get more informations since i’m a bad teller :)
But in few words, those tunnels were made during the war to counter US troops. Vietcongs soldiers could stay in a couple of weeks without the need to get out.
The fact that those pipes are really small, no GIs could get in and many of them got killed “by surprise” or in their back ; so south-vietnamese troops were in first line to force north troops to get out.

There is many way to get there. Public bus, private minibus from tour operator.
A bus ticket will cost you less than 2 usd to not say a few cents :p. However, that is not the “safest” (pickpocket in the bus) and the best way to visit Cu Chi.
The best way is ………. check in your “lonely planet” guide book :p
Serioulsy, pay 10usd a day to any private operator tour. Choose your day, they provide transportation, food (sometimes), ask about entrance tickets fee.
If you get your ticket entrance in the tunnels, it will cost 8usd or so. Quite “expensive” since a vietnamese will pay less than 3usd.
But paying the “foreigners” price allows you to get an english speaker guide. The one whom came with me got me a viet ticket and the “presentation” video as well as the guide speaker were in vietnamese ! Damned ! It was my first trip in Vietnam and I couldn’t caught a word lol

It is said that the tunnels are in 3 levels but only the first one can be visited :’(
It is also said that some americans visitors were blocked during the visit of the tunnels haha :D The third level is very tight ; you might crawled to go further. I WANT TO VISIT THAT PART !

Last advice if you do not practice any sports : take 5 min to jog before the visit :p
