Two weeks i’m back home but still feel like i’m in Vietnam. haha

The Top 3 i miss the most :

  1. people (top 1 of missing people = my secret lover :D )
  2. driving a light motorcycle without helmet ; it made me miss my Honda NSR 125 ! :’( )
  3. food ! (the topic of this ticket ^_^ )

There is so much to eat there. Any kind at anytime of the day as well as night.

Backpack travellers, you will be able to eat for 2usd per day ! So if your budget is 5usd per day for food, that will be fine. Of course do not expect any “Grande Cuisine” lol
But for 1 meal, you will have either a bowl of soup or some rice with grilled pork and vegetables (and probably a “tra da” (ice tea) ). You will have 3usd extra for some sugar-cane drink (2.000vnd a glass in the street ^_^ )

And you will be quite comfortable with 10usd a day. Sea food, sushis, traditional vietnamese food, ……………. Frankfurt sausages and Sauerkraut (lol) in an European style restaurant …………….. What ever you want.

You know what ? I’m kinda stupid lol
I took the pictures of my plates and dishes but completely forgot to take pictures of the restaurant or the “eating place” itself to give you an idea of the environment ; what a silly mistake !! :/
I’ll do that next year ^_^

Anyway by doing those following albums, i was not completely satisfied !

First because like i said above, I have just photographied my plates and dishes and not he environment
Second because …… during my several previous trips, I ate sooooo many differents dishes. The following albums i bring to you today contains mostly “regular” dishes. “Com boi” (literraly “dust food” which are “having a lunch/dinner in the street on tiny table almost right on the floor”) is great to experiment if you have a strong stomach :p
Like here and here.
Third because I’m not satisfied to have taken those pictures ; I miss those places lol

Bon Appétit !!!

>>> What to eat in Vietnam ; part 1 (29 pictures) / I did a conversion mistake in the first page but lazy to correct it :/ You will read :”…. or 20.000usd = 1″ but have to read “… 20.000vnd = 1“<<<<

>>> What to eat in Vietnam ; part 2 (33 pictures) <<<<

>>> What to eat in Vietnam ; part 3 (26 pictures) / in the first page, you will read : “… but the the restaurant itself” but you should read : “… but not the restaurant itself” ; lazy too to correct it :p <<<<

PS : from today, i left some comments on the pictures ; just rollover the cursor on the picture and a comment will appear ^_^

PSS : what is the picture above ? It is me lol ; it was on a boat trip at Phu Quoc island. Rent your own boat for less than 250.000vnd (12.5€ or 16usd) and you will be in a ride for an hour. At the end of the trip, the guide stopped at a coral reef ! Unfortunately, that day it was kinda late to appreciate the coral :( but he fished a variety of “sea urchin” and told us : “wanna taste it ?” hahaha
It was so disgusting lol ; the urchin still moves and its blues-eyes seemed to tell us : “it is so hurt and painfull !!!” hahahahaha I couldn’t eat any :D

PSSS : you will notice that for me shell is shell lol I have no idea how to named each variety of shell in english lol I’m not even sure to know them in french :D
