:The Fine Art Museum of Ho Chi Minh City:
Journey No Comments »I have so much Pictures from Vietnam and have no idea where to begin with lol
So today I’ll bring you pictures from the Fine Art Museum of Ho Chi Minh City (<<< note “Fine” Art hahahaha)

First, a brief description about the place.
The Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum was set up as the result of a decision made by the City’s People’s Committee in September 1987, but it was not officially opened until 1991.On the first and second floors, there are exhibits of works by Vietnamese and foreign artists. On the third floor are rooms with displays of works from between the 7th and early 20th century, including Champa and Oc Eo art work, Vietnamese antiques (ceramics, red-lacquered and gilded products, mother-of-pearl inlaid wood, etc.), traditional handicrafts of the Vietnamese ethnic groups and Western art.

In some other words, it the Saigonese’s Louvre :D ; as beautiful and interesting as Le Louvre ^_^
Does it deserve to stop by ?
Of course it does. If you came to Paris, wouldn’t you stopped by Le Louvre ?
Seriously, it depends how long is your trip.
If you stay 2 days in Saigon, there are better places to visit and to be. But if you have a week or more stay, …… why not.
Anyway, it is done within an hour or so but could be done in 15 minutes lol
And as you might know now, fee entrance for a tourist is never a problem ; it is less than 5usd but to be honest, it doesn’t even worth it hahaha
My personal tip : (you are free to follow it or not
)
Bring a huge back pack ; there are so many free “souvenirs” in the museum
How silly lol ; you had to understand that it is so easy for any professionnal robber to steal any exhibits in there.
At least it seems to
