:In another life:
Photo No Comments »I have not been settled yet and my career is quite foggy but for sure, there is a career that times to times makes me ……. I mean, I would love to be is : photo-reporter and especially war-photographer !
That is silly to say but in my own opinion, the best white and black pictures which could be done are the one taken in any worldwide hot spots.
You might asking what is great shooting a human dying, suffering or starving. I won’t be able to answer ; that is just a personnal belief and feeling.
Maybe I can say : “the pictures are not good due to the compostion, the light, …. but it is good due to the people you met in such places”.
Years ago, in “The War Remnants Museum” in Saigon (Vietnam) (first called “American War Crimes Museum” until 93/94), there are a bunch of photographies.
Many of them was captioned : “X’s last photography” (X = photographer’s name)
There were soooo much of them ; I stopped counting them.
For “your pleasure”, here is 3 pictures taken in the previous museum.
The picture which made you think …….. A bullet as a last picture ; not really exciting ugh ?
“Memorial Wall” : War-reporters passed away on the war fields. Yep, one of the most famous ever : Robert Capa (us) fall down in Vietnam (May 1954)
I can recommand you :
“Slightly out of focus” (Robert Capa).
“Rapporteur de Guerre” (Patrick Chauvel)
